Description

Selenite Lamps & other Products

Selenite Lamps are produced from a naturally clear or opaque form of gypsum crystal. Light passes through it easily, creating a warming glow. The selenite, in its natural form, has been hollowed out to create a unique lamp, and the tower effect is achieved by splitting and chipping along natural cleavage surfaces. Each lamp is unique.

The lamps sizes & other products are:

  • 15cm – Small Tower
  • 30cm + 35cm- Medium Lamp
  • 40-45 cm Large Lamp
  • 30 cm Mountain (not a lamp)
  • 17.5cm Tower Point
  • 16cm wand
  • 15 cm Tower Point
  • palm stone
  • tumble stone

How does Selenite work?

From the Greek words ‘selene’ meaning ‘moon’ and ‘lithos’ for ‘stone’, Selenite is the ultimate crystal cleansing and programming stone. If you hold selenite in your hand, especially a wand, you should be able to feel the energy within.

Selenite is also fast and effective in clearing the auric field as well as any congested or negative energy from the physical or etheric body. The lamps are particularly effective for building an energy grid in the home.

It is known to help with raising awareness, with understanding the deeper meaning in things and with strengthening decisions. It also aligns the spine and neutralises mercury poisoning. Meditating while holding a piece of Selenite will release stress quickly.

Selenite gives out a calm and peaceful energy and its fine vibration brings clarity of mind. Although an ancient stone, it is one of the most powerful crystals for the current age and the intensity of its energy is greater than almost any other crystal for the upper chakras.

Main Properties of Selenite:

What is the difference between Himalayan Salt Lamps and Selenite Lamps?

Appearance: The first key difference with Himalayan salt lamps and Selenite lamps is their appearance. Himalayan salt lamps are large chunks of genuine Himalayan salt crystals, and can be found in orange, pink and red tones, and they emit a warm glow when in use.

Selenite lamps are a pearly white, almost opaque crystal. They have been split and chipped to create their tower-like appearance and emit a soft white glow when in use.

Properties: Himalayan salt lamps and Selenite lamps are known for different reasons

Himalayan salt lamps are renowned for being naturally hygroscopic – this means they attract and absorb water molecules from the surrounding air. This allows them to trap dust and other contaminants, acting as a natural air purifier.

Himalayan salt lamps are also known for their ability to generate negative ions. Being exposed to negative ions has a positive impact on our health and wellbeing, helping to boost our mood and improve our sleep.

Selenite lamps are not known for being hygroscopic or generating negative ions. Instead, selenite lamps are renowned for their cleansing and healing abilities, and can help to clear negative energy both from our chakras and the surrounding environment.

Selenite also has calming properties which makes it ideal for meditation or spiritual work.

Which one to choose?

When it comes to choosing the right lamp for your own situation, it’s important to consider what your requirements actually are.

So, for example, if you suffer from allergy symptoms or want to improve your sleeping patterns, the properties of a Himalayan salt lamp would be best suited for you.

Or, if you’re hoping to clear out some negative energy from your home, a Selenite lamp might be a better fit.

The good news is, you don’t have to choose between the two. If you want to explore the various benefits of both Himalayan salt lamps and Selenite lamps, then you can introduce both styles into your home and use them for different situations!

Caring for your Selenite:

  • Selenite is a fibrous crystal with natural fissures and fibers running lengthwise and will sometimes shed, so please be careful.
  • Selenite lamps are for indoor use only. They are affected by moisture, so please do not use any water to clean these lamps.(Blow dry, or dry cloth).
